Sixth Pupul Jayakar Memorial Lecture on “Revitalizing India’s conservation traditions” by Professor Madhav Gadgil Back
Eminent Professor Madhav Gadgil delivered the 6th Pupul Jayakar Memorial Lecture on 18th April 2014. In his lecture titled “Revitalizing India’s conservation traditions”, he spoke at length about the destruction of nature and people’s livelihood so widely prevalent in our times. He concluded the lecture on an interrogative note, venting out concerns for the uncertain future of the biodiversity of the country. On this occasion, Anubhav Das’s book called ‘Baiga’, which was commissioned by the ICH division, was released.
