INTACH Heritage Quiz at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie on 22nd November 2017 Back
It was felt that INTACH should engage with All India Services Probationers under training at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie to make them aware of INTACH’s role in heritage conservation and preservation. It was also felt important to bring before them the significance and value of safeguarding India’s built and intangible heritage and sensitize them on how they as officers could play a crucial role in heritage conservation during the course of their career.
The ICH director, Nerupama Modwel, visited LBSNAA, Mussoorie, on 22nd November 2017 to organize the event. The INTACH film was screened in their main auditorium. A heritage quiz activity was organized in which all 369 probationers (IAS, IPS, IFS and other allied services) were required to participate as part of their curriculum in the History module. First a written round of 25 questions was administered. This was followed by a final round for the 4 best teams. All the questions of the final round were also open for the audience. INTACH ties, Tshirts and books contributed by Hachette Publishing House were given away as prizes. The entire batch of probationers participated with great enthusiasm and a competitive spirit.
Mr. Ranjan Shenoy, Ms. Mallika Sudhir and Mr. Siddharth B secured the first position and the team comprising of Mr. Nahas Ali, Ms. Prerna Dixit and Mr. Yadu Bhardawaj were placed second.
