Illustration Workshop Back
The Intangible Cultural Heritage Division concluded the illustration Workshop held in Nagaland in the last week March. Senior Naga artist Lepden Jamir was invited to engage young artists from Nagaland in creating illustrations for the stories. Lepden is a sculptor, painter, cartoonist and illustrator and received the Governor’s Award in 2008. The workshop was held in February 2012 and sixteen students at the Stella Higher secondary School in Kohima created the illustrations with guidance from Lepden Jamir. Participants were taught illustration techniques by artists and animation experts.
