Heritage Week Back
In a country as geo-culturally diverse as India, understanding and valuing our rich heritage is very important, and celebrating this heritage in all its myriad forms is a step in the right direction. Keeping this in mind, ICH organized a Heritage Week from 19th – 23rd November 2012. Some of the highlights of the week were:
- Panel discussion on Preserving Heritage: The Socio-Economic Imperative
- The Heritage Quiz organized professionally by Quizcraft. Students from various colleges and universities were invited to participate in this quiz
- A theatre workshop for school students by well-known theatre personality Fasial Alkazi
- A week-long exhibition on the ‘Last Maharaja of Punjab’
- A half-day programme for school students as part of the Heritage Club activities. The ‘Harit Sankalp’, a story writing competition for school students was held
- Special Heritage Walks conducted by INTACH Delhi Chapter.
