Fifth Pupul jayakar Memorial Lecture on “New perspectives on our cultural pasts” by Mr. Michel Danino Back
ICH organized the Fifth Pupul Jayakar Memorial Lecture 2013 on 18th April. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Michel Danino on “New perspectives on our cultural pasts”. The lecture focused on the last two decades of scholarship on the civilization. Mr. Danino spoke about the cumulative effect of the new and still emerging perspective, which not only leaves behind the old linear and reductionist paradigms of race, migration and progress, but also refines our notions of identity and cultural inheritance, and reminds us of our vital bonds with an environment our modernity it could do without.
