Kota Miniature Exhibition at INTACH, Delhi Back
A 3 day exhibition and live demonstration on the revival of Kota Miniature Painting was organized by Shri Thakur Ranvir Singh with the support of ICH division at the Multi-purpose Hall at INTACH headquarters. The exhibition was inaugurated by (Retd.) Maj. Gen. L.K Gupta, Chairman, INTACH, on the occasion of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of INTACH. Famous for its miniature paintings during 17th- 19th centuries, Kota school of miniature painting showcases diverse subject matter ranging from court scenes to hunting scenes. The realistic hunting scenes are considered to be Kota’s specialty.
